researchers at stanford university in california have developed an effective and economically viable technique to monitor the groundwater in aquifers in agricultural regions using satellites. you should check it out, it’s pretty cool, the underground systems need to be managed carefully to prevent drought and until now it’s been almost impossible to obtain accurate data.
